These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of southernsentinelsecurity.com, beta.southernsentinelsecurity.com, related landing pages, downloadable resources, demo forms, free tools, and other websites or online services that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Website”). The Website is operated by Southern Sentinel Security (“Southern Sentinel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.
Relationship to Other Agreements
These Terms apply to the public Website. SentinelCommand subscriptions, partner programs, professional services, security assessments, managed scanning, statements of work, order forms, nondisclosure agreements, data processing agreements, partner agreements, and end-user license agreements may be governed by separate written terms. If a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that service, subscription, or engagement.
Website Content
The Website may include cybersecurity, compliance, partner-program, pricing, service, tool, checklist, report, and educational content. Website content is provided for general business and informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, audit advice, compliance certification, penetration-test authorization, incident-response instruction, or a guarantee that any system is secure or compliant.
Authorized Use of Security Tools
Some Website features may perform or support public security checks, including DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP header, email-security, breach-exposure, password-strength, external exposure, or vulnerability-related analysis. You may use those tools only for domains, systems, accounts, or assets that you own or are authorized to test. You must not use the Website to scan, probe, disrupt, overload, exploit, enumerate, or collect information from third-party systems without authorization.
- Do not submit real passwords, secrets, API keys, tokens, private keys, payment card data, protected health information, regulated personal data, or confidential third-party data into public tools or forms.
- Do not attempt to bypass, disable, overload, or interfere with the Website, our infrastructure, rate limits, authentication, logging, or security controls.
- Do not use Website results to attack, extort, harass, or unlawfully access any person, network, system, or organization.
- Do not misrepresent your identity, authority, organization, or relationship to any asset submitted for review.
We may limit, block, log, investigate, or report activity that appears abusive, unauthorized, illegal, unsafe, or inconsistent with these Terms.
Accounts, Forms, and Submissions
If you submit a form, request a demo, request a download, use a tool, or create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep any account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity associated with your account or submissions. We may contact you using the information you provide.
You grant Southern Sentinel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use information you submit as needed to operate the Website, respond to requests, provide resources, generate requested results, improve services, protect security, and enforce these Terms. You retain ownership of your submitted content, subject to the rights you grant us and any separate written agreement.
Intellectual Property
The Website, SentinelCommand references, branding, logos, designs, text, graphics, code, tools, reports, templates, checklists, workflows, downloads, and other materials are owned by Southern Sentinel or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Website or its materials.
You may download publicly offered resources for your internal business evaluation and planning purposes. You may not remove proprietary notices, resell resources, present them as your own original materials, or use them to build a competing service unless we agree in writing.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Website may link to or use third-party websites, booking tools, cloud services, analytics, email, security tools, vulnerability scanners, threat-intelligence sources, breach-intelligence sources, and other providers. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their terms and policies.
No Emergency or Managed Security Monitoring Through the Website
The public Website is not an emergency security hotline, managed detection service, incident-response retainer, or guaranteed monitoring channel. If you are experiencing an active security incident, use your contracted incident-response process or contact appropriate emergency, legal, insurance, and security resources.
Disclaimers
The Website and all Website content, tools, downloads, and results are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Southern Sentinel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, and error-free operation.
Security and compliance information changes quickly. Free tool results and Website content may be incomplete, outdated, false positive, false negative, or dependent on third-party data. You are responsible for validating results before making business, security, compliance, or legal decisions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Southern Sentinel and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, partners, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, business, goodwill, revenue, security posture, or compliance status arising from or related to the Website or these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims related to the Website or these Terms will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us for Website access in the three months before the claim, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Southern Sentinel and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, partners, and suppliers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Website, unauthorized scanning or testing, submissions, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Website, forms, downloads, tools, or accounts at any time if we believe use is abusive, unauthorized, unlawful, risky, or inconsistent with these Terms. We may also modify, discontinue, or restrict Website features at any time.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information. By using the Website, you acknowledge our Privacy Policy.
Governing Terms and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Southern Sentinel Security in its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises unless a longer period is required by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the updated Terms for future use.
